The Borthwick
The Dick Borthwick Memorial Golf Tournament is played annually in memory of former long-time Head Golf Professional Dick Borthwick. A sellout each year, with many sponsors and groups returning annually, the tournament is the main fundraiser for the HGCC Foundation and considered one of the best days at the club each year by many.
Par for a Cause
Par For A Cause is the Women’s Section annual charity golf tournament. Recent charity partnerships have included the Bulldogs Foundation, the YWCA of Hamilton and Neighbour 2 Neighbour Community Food Centre. A field of 130 women members took part in the 2024 PFAC raising approximately $75,000 for the Bulldogs Foundation Breakfast Program.
Golf for Three Charity Certificates
The HGCC Board of Directors grants five Golf for Three Certificate annually that are approved by the HGCC Foundation. Members can submit a request for one of the certificates for their favorite charity to be used at a golf fundraiser or charity event. The sponsoring member usually accompanies the threesome and the HGCC Foundation covers the cost of lunch on the day of golf excluding drinks.
